NNMF LIVE PERFORMANCES ON VIDEO

THESE HOMEMADE VIDEOS WERE CREATED ESPECIALLY FOR NNMF DURING THE RECENT MONTHS

SIMON ROWLAND-JONES PLAYS BACH IN THREE NORTH NORFOLK CHURCHES

Simon Rowland-Jones playing Bach’s First Cello Suite in G, BWV1007*.  The video was recorded on Simon’s iPad at the beginning of June in three north Norfolk churches - St Margaret’s, Burnham Norton, All Saints, Waterden and, of course, St Mary’s, South Creake.

Some of you may not yet have seen All Saints, Waterden, since it was restored last year. You can find out more about it HERE

We are grateful to Father Clive Wylie and Revd Steve Wood for allowing us access to all three churches at a time when they were still firmly locked.

*Simon made his own viola transcription of all six cello suites in 1995 (published by Peters Edition).  He also recorded them at that time for Meridian Records and they can now be heard on Spotify.

MELVYN TAN AT HOME IN SUSSEX PLAYS MUSIC BY GRANADOS

Melvyn Tan very generously recorded The Maiden and the Nightingale by Granados for us.

ARIEL LANYI AT HOME IN ISRAEL PLAYS MUSIC BY BRAHMS

Some of you may remember Ariel’s very well received afternoon recital at the 2018 North Norfolk Music Festival. We have stayed in touch and plan to invite him back to South Creake at the earliest opportunity but until then, here is Ariel playing a Brahms Intermezzo for you.
