HAYDN String Quartet in G, Op.77 No.1

ROWLAND-JONES String Quartet No.3

MENDELSSOHN String Quartet in A minor, Op.13

The Karski Quartet already impressed NNMF supporters at our Christmas concert in 2019 with their thrilling and mature playing. Formed in Brussels in 2018, three members are from Poland and the violist from Belgium and are currently Artists in Residence at the prestigious Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel in Brussels, studying with members of the Artemis Quartet, and Masters students at the European Chamber Music Academy. They take their name from the Polish resistance hero, Jan Karski (1914 Lodz – 2000 Washington DC).

Their performance of Simon Rowland-Jones’s 3rd String Quartet at the Royal Northern College of Music Chamber Festival last year was described by The Sunday Times as 'fresh and gripping.'

This concert is generously supported by Brian Hatfield
