with vocalist JACQUI DANKWORTH and pianist CHARLIE WOOD
Celebrated jazz vocalist Jacqui Dankworth returns to NNMF after her triumphant sell-out appearance here two years ago, this time with pianist Charlie Wood, to interpret the work of Stephen Sondheim. Clive Davis of The Times called her "one of our finest singers, regardless of category”.
The programme will draw on renowned Sondheim productions such as "A Little Night Music," "Sweeney Todd," "Into the Woods," "Sunday In the Park With George," "Company" and others, including familiar classics, like "Send In the Clowns," "Not a Day Goes By," "Losing My Mind," "Nothing's Gonna Harm You," "Putting It Together," "The Miller's Son," and many more.
Memphis-born pianist, Charlie Wood, himself an accomplished singer/songwriter is also a professor of Jazz Vocals at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
